With broken hearts we must announce that on the 22nd August 2020 our Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother and Friend Dave 'Davey' Dowding passed away. Dave was loved by so many and cherished all those close to him. Our family have been comforted by and will be forever grateful for all the love and support from everyone around us. Dave's funeral will be held on Friday 25th September 2020 at West Suffolk Crematorium at 14:00. (IP28 6RR) For those of you that knew Dave, a proud biker his whole life, there is only one truly fitting send off. Dave will leave Hawthorn Road, Great Cornard at 12:50 for one last ride out. We would love to see as many of his brothers, friends and family as possible on two wheels riding alongside him. If we could ask everyone that wishes to the follow the procession to meet in Hawthorn Road from 12:30. If you would like to ride with us but are unable to make the funeral we would love to see you. The family would also like to invite our loved ones to raise a glass together and celebrate Dave's life at The Wormingford Crown following the service (CO6 3AB). There is no dress code for the day. Dave was rarely made to wear a suit and tie and as such would want you to wear what you like. We would also kindly ask that those wishing to bring flowers consider making a donation to https://www.roycastle.org/donate/ you can also do so at the crematorium. There will be limited seating in the crematorium but space for family and friends to join us outside (socially distanced) too so please do let us know if you are coming. All I can say is what great friend he was for the few years we knew him. Always had a smile and a joke despite the troubles he was having himself. You will be sorely missed Dave.....
