DAVEFEST originally began as a delayed opportunity to celebrate the life of Dave ‘Davey’ Dowding, our beloved Husband, Dad, Grandad & Friend. Like many others, we felt aggrieved by having been robbed of the opportunity to give Dave a fitting send off amidst a world of covid-19 restrictions. We decided to put on a family fun day to celebrate the life of Dave and of his close friend Mick The Hat who sadly passed away earlier the same year. We were overwhelmed by the support of everyone involved in making the day a huge success. From our friends at the Wormingford Crown for accommodating us and keeping hundreds of people suitably refreshed, local businesses for supporting the raffle and donating some incredible prizes and our wonderful friends for supporting in all kinds of ways to ensure the day went without a hitch. Our inaugural event ended up seeing hundreds of bikers and families come together to drool over some amazing bikes, listen to great bands, get their faces painted, enjoy excellent food and drink and generally catch up and reminisce. The atmosphere at DAVEFEST was amazing and a fitting tribute to Dave. The festival will ensure that Dave is never forgotten and that his memory will live on for years to come. The support the family have received in making sure DAVEFEST 2022 is an even bigger success has been phenomenal and a testament to the love that everyone around us has for Dave. Together we have raised a remarkable £4,613 for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, a total that we expect to significantly increase with this years raffle and sports memorabilia auction. DAVEFEST will continue to grow year on year as an opportunity to remember a wonderful man who we all love and miss very much.Updates

We also have a late addition signed, framed set list from Phil Campbell and the B Sons. You'll also find a couple of cracking Colchester United items in a reverse auction on the day so bring your change to be in with chance of winning at a bargain price.
